TSSW CPD Offer
We are delighted to announce the release of the TSSW CPD Offer for 2020-2021.
We have endeavoured to produce a CPD Offer that is both comprehensive and school-led. As you will see, the directory covers a broad range of roles in schools (TAs, Teachers, Leaders, Governors) across all phases and school types and is career wide (NQT through to Aspiring Heads). The majority of the programmes are designed and delivered by specialist teachers and leaders from within schools, often working with expert partners.
We feel the CPD offer represents the best of regional, best of national and best of research and by combining these elements we strive to bring schools the best possible practices in the best possible formats to achieve the best outcomes for teachers and pupils. TSSW is a partnership of not-for profit TSAs, Research School, MATS/Schools and the majority of the programmes are below the rates of commercial providers and if you are a TSSW member, the benefits are often multiplied.
We hope you find the document a useful tool to support the Appraisal processes in your schools as staff members identify training plans to support their development targets.

NGA LEADING GOVERNANCE
Teaching Schools South West is delighted to be working in partnership with the NGA to bring DfE funded Governance programmes to the region.
The Development for Chairs programme provides chairs, vice chairs, committee chairs and future chairs with opportunities for developing leadership skills and confident governance. The full cost is £500 per participant and funding of up to £1000 per board is available for eligible schools.
The Development for Clerks programme is heavily subsidised and costs £99 per participant. This accredited programme is designed for clerks with at least three months experience currently working in all school and trust settings. It helps develop the knowledge and skills needed for high-quality clerking.
Both programmes are online and begin in December.
Please note government funding stops in March 2021 and we would encourage you to book now if you would like to access this funded training. For further information or assistance, please contact Fiona McNeile, email@example.com
